Job summary

UL Solutions in Plano, TX, seeks a Mechanical or Electrical Engineer for the Appliance, HVAC, and Electronic Control team. This onsite role requires five days per week in Plano and focuses on project scope, client interaction, and UL compliance.

You will lead testing programs, coordinate with clients, and support engineering tasks to ensure product conformance with UL standards. Strong communication and organizational skills are key to success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Compliance or HVAC engineering experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Define project scope, develop preliminary plan, and set specifications including cost, time, and samples.
• Coordinate client communication and conduct or witness tests at client sites as needed.
• Prepare data sheets, schedule laboratory work, and manage project administration.
• Explain UL requirements to clients, discuss costs, and negotiate timelines and sample requirements.
• Ensure products meet UL requirements and coordinate testing and documentation.
