Job summary

Ferguson seeks an HVAC Territory Manager to drive growth across the DC Metro market. You will build strong relationships with residential and light commercial contractors, identify opportunities, and deliver HVAC solutions.

This field-based role comes with a base salary plus uncapped commissions, an auto allowance, and company-provided devices, targeting total compensation of $80,000 to $150,000+ based on performance.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years of outside sales, account management, or customer-facing role in HVAC/building materials
• Experience selling to residential and/or light commercial contractors; dual-trade exposure a plus
• Exposure to HVAC equipment, systems, contractor workflows, and consultative selling skills
• Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills

Responsibilities

• Own and grow an assigned HVAC territory with contractors
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities; expand existing relationships
• Consult with customers on equipment, systems, and solutions
• Collaborate with branch teams, vendor partners, and internal specialists for quoting and fulfillment
• Analyze territory performance and market trends to guide sales strategies
• Maintain pipeline and customer activity in CRM
• Stay current on HVAC tech, regulations, and market trends
