Job summary

The Medical College of Wisconsin seeks an HVAC Maintenance professional to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on various building systems. Under supervision, you will inspect, troubleshoot, and service equipment, with opportunities to manage small projects and coordinate with contractors.

Shifts include 2nd and 3rd with weekend coverage. The role emphasizes safety, system monitoring, and facility reliability within MCW buildings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or substituted by experience.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting on building systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist or independently perform preventive maintenance on building systems.
• Inspect equipment daily, weekly and monthly and report malfunctions.
• Repair or replace fan and pump motors, seals and bearings, and related hardware.
• Install piping for natural gas, air and vacuum systems for fume hoods.
• Shutdown HVAC systems for maintenance or repair and prepare systems for contractors.
• Access and adjust Building Automation, Phoenix Control and Fire systems as needed.
