Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot a range of building systems within MCW facilities. The role includes day-to-day repairs in the main campuses and supervised tasks on more complex projects.

You will inspect equipment on a regular basis, train junior mechanics, and participate in system shutdowns, piping work for fume hoods, and system tests.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3 years of related maintenance experience.
• Ability to read and follow technical manuals and schematics.
• Ability to perform heavy physical tasks and lift equipment.

Mansioni

• Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot/repair building systems.
• Inspect equipment on daily/weekly/monthly schedules; train Mechanic 1s.
• Repair or replace motors, pumps, seals, bearings, and plumbing components.
• Install natural gas, air and vacuum system piping to fume hoods for small projects.
• Shutdown HVAC systems for maintenance or repair, including brazing and soldering as needed.
• Prepare systems for contractor work and monitor related controls.
• Access Building Automation, Phoenix Control, and Fire systems for adjustments.
• Participate in emergency generator and fire system tests.
• Other duties as assigned.
