Job summary
The Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) is seeking a maintenance technician to support HVAC and mechanical systems across MCW facilities. The role includes preventative maintenance, inspections, and some repair work under supervision, with opportunities to perform small projects and coordinate with contractors.
Successful candidates will have at least one year of related maintenance experience, a high school diploma, and knowledge of safety practices.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year related maintenance experience.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and emergency protocols.
- Ability to perform preventive maintenance and simple repairs on building systems.
Responsibilities
- Assist with or perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on HVAC and building systems.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly inspections and report malfunctions to supervisor.
- Shutdown and restart of HVAC systems for maintenance or repair as needed.
- Access building automation and control systems for adjustments and monitoring.
- Document activities and participate in small projects as assigned.
