Job summary

Medical College of Wisconsin is seeking a facilities maintenance supervisor to oversee operations across multiple MCW buildings, ensuring reliable HVAC, refrigeration, and process equipment. The role requires leadership of contractors and maintenance staff to meet strict research facility requirements.

The successful candidate will manage computerized systems, monitor and calibrate controls, respond to alarms, and generate daily operation reports.

Qualifications

• Minimum Required Education: Associate's degree
• Minimum Required Experience: 8 years
• Preferred Experience: HVAC and refrigeration
• Required Certification/Licensure(s): Wisconsin Driver License, HVAC/Refrigeration Certification, State and Federal Refrigerant Handling License

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance personnel and contractors performing electrical and mechanical work.
• Operate computerized building automation systems per requirements.
• Monitor equipment, repair or calibrate as needed.
• Respond to alarms and emergencies; prepare operation reports.
• Oversee preventive maintenance and performance evaluations.
• Place orders and manage inventory of parts and supplies.
