Job summary

M.C. Dean, headquartered in Tysons, Virginia, seeks an experienced HVAC technician to design, maintain and repair advanced cooling systems for critical facilities. You will handle preventive and corrective maintenance on chillers, boilers, AHUs, VAVs, and data center cooling equipment, with on-call duties and strong documentation skills.

The role requires the ability to read schematics, work independently, and travel as needed. A valid license and EPA/CFC certification within a year are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 3+ years of commercial HVAC experience or 1+ year with an associate degree.
• Experience with chillers, boilers, AHUs, VAVs, and energy controls.
• HVAC license or advanced certification preferred; EPA/CFC certification required within 1 year.
• Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Preventive and corrective maintenance of HVAC systems including chillers, boilers, AHUs, VAVs, and related equipment.
• Interpret mechanical drawings and system plans; perform diagnostic and repair work.
• Document maintenance activities, service tickets, and safety briefings; participate in 24/7 on-call rotation.
