Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. seeks a seasoned HVAC Mechanic to maintain and repair HVAC and building systems in a large commercial complex with laboratories.

You will report to the Service Manager and may work back shifts or on-call, with potential direction from the Laboratory Ventilation Manager. The role requires extensive experience with chillers, VAV, and BAS platforms, plus strict adherence to safety protocols and energy-efficient operation. Applicants must be eligible for U.S.

Qualifications

• Requires 8+ years of experience with complex HVAC systems and equipment including chillers, boilers, package units, VAV systems.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience with large HVAC systems in commercial facilities.
• State of NC HVAC Heating Group 2 or 3 Class 1 license preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on engineering systems and equipment including chillers, VAV, HVAC controls, and life safety systems.
• Inspect and adjust mechanical equipment; perform preventive maintenance and routine servicing.
• Maintain equipment operating logs and monitor system performance.
• Use test equipment for building operating systems and analyze results.
• Respond to emergencies and protect occupants and property.
• Operate and maintain data center or mission-critical environment maintenance activities.
• Operate and maintain BAS-controlled equipment and monitor facility conditions.
• Adhere to Electrical Safety and PPE protocols.
