Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking a Mechanical Critical Facility Technician to maintain and repair complex HVAC systems in mission-critical environments such as data centers and hospitals. You will manage operation, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance for chillers, boilers, and air handling units, ensuring high reliability.

Required are 10+ years in facilities, 3+ years in critical operations, and EPA-608 certification, with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance. U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of work experience with 3+ years in critical facilities.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
• Experience with chillers >300 tons or major mechanical systems.
• Must pass NITC Journey Level HVAC exam within first year.
• EPA 608 Certification required.
• US Citizenship required for security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair complex HVAC systems in data centers, hospitals, and manufacturing plants.
• Operate and troubleshoot chillers, boilers, CRAC/CRAH units, and air handling units.
• Install and repair minor plumbing, pumps, valves, piping.
• Read mechanical, plumbing, and electrical diagrams.
• Use CMMS to track work orders and maintenance activities.
• Monitor environmental systems with BMS like Niagara Tridium, Siemens, Johnson Controls.
