Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks a Commercial HVAC Estimator to own subcontract installation pricing and drive procurement across branch offices. You will partner with the HVAC Controls Sales Organization to develop accurate cost models and lead supplier selection through negotiations and contract management.

You will coordinate subcontract labor procurement, ensure compliance with BOS/DoA, and drive supplier relationships to optimize costs and delivery.

Qualifications

Electrical industry experience or bachelor’s degree.
Experience in building systems or operational processes.
Works effectively with sales and in team settings.
Proficient with MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Project).
5–8+ years as a project manager with estimating experience in HVAC controls.
Procurement experience in construction/HVAC with cost analysis.
Strong English communication; multilingual a plus.
Willingness to travel about 10% overnight.

Responsibilities

Lead a crucial relationship between field offices and supplier base.
Serve as main procurement contact with HVAC controls Sales to model installation costs.
Develop installation costing and select 3rd party subcontractors via supplier relations and negotiations.
Coordinate subcontract labor procurement and ensure BOS and DoA compliance.
Create, host, and review RFPs; maintain supplier relationships.
