Job summary

Johnson Controls in Charlotte, NC seeks a Commercial HVAC Estimator to act as the main procurement contact for the local branch, partnering with the HVAC Controls Sales team to develop accurate installation cost models and select qualified subcontractors.

The role requires 5–8+ years in project management with estimating experience in HVAC construction, strong MS Office skills, and effective communication across teams. Travel is modest and a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Electrical industry experience or a relevant bachelor’s degree.
• 5–8+ years as a project manager with estimating experience in HVAC controls construction.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; multilingual abilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop installation costing models and subcontractor pricing with Sales.
• Identify and select 3rd party subcontractors and manage supplier relationships.
• Coordinate procurement activities and ensure BOS/DoA compliance.
• Review project SOW and ensure subcontractor provisions in contracts.
• Develop, host, and review RFPs.
