Job summary

Johnson Controls in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Commercial HVAC Estimator to serve as the main procurement contact for the branch office. You will develop accurate installation cost models in collaboration with the HVAC Controls Sales Organization and lead subcontractor selection to deliver project commitments.

You will coordinate procurement activities, use estimating tools to establish baseline pricing, and manage supplier relationships to ensure timely, cost-effective execution across the field

Qualifications

• Electrical industry equivalent experience or bachelor’s degree.
• Experience in building systems or operational processes.
• Works effectively with sales as well as in team settings.
• Strong MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Project skills.
• 5–8+ years as a project manager with estimating experience in the HVAC Controls construction or trades.
• HVAC/Electrical industry knowledge a plus.
• Procurement experience with cost analysis and financial knowledge.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of installation costing and subcontractor selection for HVAC projects.
• Partner with HVAC Sales to develop accurate installation cost models.
• Identify and engage 3rd party subcontractors and manage supplier relationships.
• Coordinate procurement activities and ensure compliance with BOS and DoA.
• Develop and review RFPs and ensure contract provisions with subcontractors.
• Establish pricing baselines using estimating tools.
• Ensure alignment between central procurement and branch offices.
