Job summary

Johnson Controls International plc. in Plymouth, Minnesota, seeks a Commercial HVAC Estimator to act as the main procurement contact for the branch, developing accurate installation cost models and coordinating with the HVAC Controls Sales Organization.

The ideal candidate has 5–8+ years of estimating in the HVAC controls construction or trades, strong procurement skills, and solid MS Office experience; the role includes subcontractor sourcing and price negotiations.

Qualifications

• Electrical industry equivalent experience or bachelor’s degree.
• Experience in building systems or operational processes.
• Strong communication and teamwork with sales.
• 5-8+ years as a project manager with estimating experience in the HVAC controls construction or trades industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop installation cost models for projects.
• Lead subcontractor pricing and selection.
• Coordinate procurement activities and supplier relationships.
• Review SOWs and RFPs; ensure contract provisions with subcontractors.
