Job summary

DMG North, part of Ambient Enterprises, seeks an Outside Sales Product Specialist to serve as the subject-matter expert for commercial HVAC products. You will work with the Outside Sales team to deliver technical expertise, conduct on-site consultations, and advise customers on equipment selection and system applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field preferred.
• Prior experience with commercial HVAC equipment, systems, and applications.
• Demonstrated ability to serve as a technical SME, providing product recommendations, conducting customer consultations, and resolving complex technical inquiries.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software.
• Strong understanding of commercial construction practices, HVAC system design, and Design/Build project delivery.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to customers, contractors, and internal teams.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites for consultations and project support.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the HVAC Product Expert for customers and the sales team.
• Collaborate on the design and layout of commercial HVAC systems including equipment selection and refrigerant piping.
• Prepare accurate equipment selections, estimates, and quotations from plans.
• Provide technical guidance before, during, and after installation.
• Partner with customers, contractors, engineers, and internal teams to identify requirements and ensure performance matches needs.
• Manage customer accounts and deliver responsive service and ongoing relationship management.
