Job summary

Ambient Enterprises seeks an Inside Sales Engineer to apply HVAC engineering principles to support design, selection, and application of commercial mechanical equipment.

You will evaluate project specs, interpret construction documents, and develop engineered equipment selections aligned with design requirements, while providing technical consultation to contractors, engineers, and owners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum three years of HVAC design or equipment application experience.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC design principles and equipment applications.
• Ability to interpret mechanical plans and specifications.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and engineering software.

Responsibilities

• Analyze mechanical plans, specifications, and project design conditions to develop engineered HVAC equipment selections.
• Evaluate load requirements and system performance criteria to determine equipment selections and configurations.
• Apply HVAC design principles to evaluate performance, constructability, and code compliance.
• Perform equipment sizing and application analysis using manufacturer software and engineering tools.
• Interpret drawings and specs to determine equipment requirements and system compatibility.
• Review submittals and technical documentation for compliance with project requirements and design intent.
• Coordinate with manufacturers and project teams to resolve technical questions and confirm application requirements.
