Job summary

DMG North, an Ambient Company, seeks an Outside Sales Product Specialist to act as the subject‑matter expert for commercial HVAC products. You will work with the Outside Sales team to deliver technical expertise, conduct on-site consultations, advise on equipment selection, and support pre- and post-sale activities including estimating, submittals, and installation support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.
• Experience with commercial HVAC equipment, systems and applications.
• Demonstrated ability as a technical SME for product recommendations and consultations.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software.
• Strong understanding of commercial construction practices and Design/Build delivery.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with customers and teams.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites for consultations and project support.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the HVAC product expert for customers and the sales team by on-site consultations and recommendations.
• Collaborate with the sales team on the design and layout of commercial HVAC systems and applications.
• Prepare equipment selections, estimates, and quotations from mechanical plans and specs.
• Provide technical guidance before, during, and after equipment installation.
• Partner with customers, contractors, engineers and internal stakeholders to meet project needs.
• Manage customer accounts, deliver responsive service and maintain relationships.
