Job summary

Ambient Enterprises in Orange, CA is seeking an Outside Sales Engineer with 5-7 years of direct sales, HVAC/construction experience, and an engineering background. You will sell DMG distribution products, promote our lines, and advise customers on equipment selection to meet their operational objectives.

Travel for training and meetings is expected, and you will build strong relationships with customers and manufacturers in a fast-paced, commission-based environment.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of successful direct, outside sales experience.
• HVAC and/or Construction Experience.
• Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering Degree preferred, but will consider equivalent direct industry related job experience.

Responsibilities

• Sell DMG Distribution Products to select accounts.
• Promote the product lines we represent and the DMG name.
• Assist customers with their operational objectives by advising on proper application and selection of equipment.
• Provide technical support on our product lines.
• Develop and maintain solid working relationships through verbal and written correspondence with customers and the manufacturers we represent.
• Periodic travel for training, industry meetings and customer entertainment.

This is an exciting opportunity to directly impact our organization and customer outcomes. The successful candidate will have at least 5-7 years of experience in sales, manufacturing and/or engineering. The ability to communicate well and work with others is essential, as this position will interact daily with multiple internal and external teams.

The Outside Sales Engineer is responsible for the following job duties:

Compensation

$80-$130k annually DOE, plus generous commission structure
