Job summary

Ambient Enterprises, a national collective of HVAC firms, is seeking an Outside Sales Product Specialist in California. You will serve as the technical expert for commercial HVAC products, delivering on-site consultations and guidance from design through installation.

This role supports pre-sale and post-sale activities, including estimating, quoting, and equipment submittals, with travel to customer sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.
• Experience with commercial HVAC equipment, systems and applications.
• Proven ability as a technical subject-matter expert, with product recommendations and customer consultations.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software.
• Strong understanding of commercial construction practices, HVAC system design, and Design/Build delivery.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to explain technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites for consultations and project support.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the HVAC Product Expert for customers and the sales team with on-site consultations.
• Collaborate on the design and layout of commercial HVAC systems, including equipment selection and system applications.
• Prepare accurate equipment selections, estimates, and quotations from mechanical plans.
• Provide technical guidance before, during, and after equipment installation.
• Partner with customers, contractors and engineers to identify project requirements and solutions.
• Manage customer accounts with responsive service and ongoing relationship management.
