Job summary

Ambient Enterprises is seeking an experienced Inside Sales Engineer for our Bay Area team. You will support Outside Sales Engineers with equipment selections, estimating, proposal development, and submittals for commercial HVAC projects.

The ideal candidate will review drawings and specifications, generate accurate quotations, coordinate with manufacturers, and manage project schedules from bid through order handoff while building strong relationships with customers, engineers, and contractors.

Qualifications

• 2-3+ years in commercial HVAC inside sales or related technical sales support.
• Experience reviewing mechanical plans and specifications.
• Experience generating proposals and submittals.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Support Outside Sales Engineers throughout the sales process.
• Review drawings, specifications, and schedules for projects.
• Prepare equipment quotations and proposals with accuracy.
• Develop complete equipment submittal packages for awarded projects.
• Coordinate with manufacturers on pricing, questions, and lead times.
• Maintain project data in the CRM and manage timelines.
