Job summary

Daikin Applied seeks an HVAC Account Manager in Pittsburgh, operating in a hybrid environment. You will be responsible for developing key customer relationships, selling maintenance contracts, and advising on products and solutions based on client needs.

Ideal candidates have HVAC field service experience or a bachelor’s degree, plus 2–4+ years in HVAC sales, and the ability to travel daily. Proficiency with Salesforce is preferred; a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Five years HVAC field service experience or a bachelor’s degree.
• Two to four+ years of related sales experience (HVAC sales preferred).
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record.
• Ability to travel territory daily.
• Proven ability to influence the market.
• Experience with Salesforce or similar sales tracking software (preferred).
• Experience creating sales proposals, quotes, and reviewing contracts (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Work in an assigned territory, partnering with reps, district managers, service centers, and sales colleagues.
• Meet sales goals through development of existing customers and prospecting new business.
• Compile lists of prospective customers and generate sales leads.
• Travel throughout territory to call on customers, solicit orders, and follow up on concerns.
• Prepare cost estimates and price quotations; coordinate project continuations.
• Verify and quote prices, terms, and prepare sales contracts.
• Perform tests and surveys on competitive products to identify needs for product alterations or new products.
• Prepare pipeline reports, sales activity, and business plans.
• Identify tools and resources to assist in sales efforts (e.g., energy rebates, ROI).
