Job summary

Carrier, a leader in HVAC solutions, is seeking a Commercial HVAC Solutions Sales Specialist for Modernizations or Controls in Houston, TX. You will pursue large opportunities that modernize customers' equipment, balancing plan/spec and design/build or direct-to-owner projects.

This role is a field-facing position with a focus on building relationships, managing complex proposals, and delivering cost-effective Carrier solutions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial HVAC sales or related roles.
• Ability to lift 20 lbs and work safely on rooftops.
• Valid driver’s license and driving eligibility.
• Experience with cost-benefit analyses and proposals.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate expertise in Commercial HVAC.
• Promote Carrier value proposition linking customer objectives to Carrier solutions.
• Manage complex multi-service proposals.
• Utilize CRM to manage customer interactions, activities and opportunity pipeline.
• Demonstrate well developed sales skills to include expert awareness, commercial acumen and integrity.
• Seek out and access new Modernization opportunities both with existing customers and new prospect customers.
• Establish and build credibility.
• Develop and sustain customer relationships.
• Create compelling presentations and communicate effectively.
• Detect the Customer’s buying stage and adjust selling accordingly.
• Manage multiple activities all occurring at the same time, organize others and workflow to meet objectives on time.
• Adapts quickly in face pace environment to gain the order/booking in a timely manner.
• Consistently achieve sales metrics and annual targets.
• Create high quality timely estimates, bids & proposals including detailed cost benefit analysis to support client's business case for investment.
