Job summary

Progress Residential in Texas is seeking a Service Technician III - HVAC to inspect, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems in our single-family homes. You will work with the Property Management team to deliver outstanding customer service and maintain safety.

The role requires a high school diploma, 5+ years in maintenance, HVAC certification (EPA) and ability to carry basic tools and drive. On-call weekends and evenings may be required; we offer competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in general service and maintenance (painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, drywall repair, etc.).
• HVAC Certification preferred; EPA Certification Required.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience maintaining warm air furnaces, air conditioners, ducts, water heaters, and related piping/electrical.
• Experience repairing residential appliances in customers’ homes preferred.
• Own basic tools required to perform ongoing service in residential environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess situations quickly and determine steps to resolve service requests while providing excellent customer service.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, and service requests including replacement or modification of equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot advanced HVAC issues and repair/replace defective components.
• Report major repairs or replacements before expending funds.
• Maintain safety standards and comply with regulations.
• Complete service requests professionally and punctually.
