Modigent, a national leader in energy solutions and building services, seeks a Service Technician II to perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on commercial HVAC systems across diverse facilities. You’ll support senior technicians, handle routine calls, and grow your expertise in energy-efficient building performance nationwide.

The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and customer communication as you expand responsibilities and mentor junior team members.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of hands-on commercial HVAC service, repair, and maintenance experience.
• EPA Section 608 certification (Type II or Universal) is preferred.
• Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs and climbing.
• Must adhere to OSHA and EPA protocols and wear PPE.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and minor adjustments on commercial HVAC equipment.
• Independently diagnose and repair common issues with guidance on complex cases.
• Handle refrigerant recovery and leak detection following EPA rules.
• Lead standard service calls: assess problems, communicate with customers, coordinate parts, and complete follow-ups.
• Document all work for billing, warranty, and quality tracking.
• Mentor entry-level technicians and assist senior technicians on larger calls.
