Modigent is seeking a Service Technician II to perform routine to moderately complex maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and troubleshooting on commercial HVAC systems across our nationwide network. This mid-level role builds on foundational skills, emphasizes safety, and offers hands-on training with clear advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; trade school or apprenticeship preferred.
• EPA Section 608 certification (Type II or Universal) required; NATE and OSHA credentials a plus.
• 2–5 years of hands-on commercial HVAC service experience; able to work independently on routine to moderately complex calls.

Responsabilités

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, cleaning, lubrication, and filter/belt changes on commercial HVAC equipment.
• Independently diagnose and repair common issues including refrigerant leaks, electrical components, airflow, and basic hydronic systems.
• Handle refrigerant recovery, recycling, recharging, and leak detection per EPA rules.
• Conduct system performance checks and basic balancing to optimize efficiency.
• Lead standard service calls: assess issues on-site, communicate with customers, coordinate parts, execute repairs, and follow up for satisfaction.
• Document all work for billing, warranty, and quality tracking.
• Assist senior technicians on advanced repairs and startups; mentor Level I technicians.
