Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an HVAC Service Sales Rep to grow service relationships and secure renewals in the San Diego area. You will collaborate with branch sales and operations to move opportunities forward and close business.

The role requires strong sales skills, experience in HVAC or Building Automation, and a proactive approach to developing new business while promoting sustainability and decarbonization efforts.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of progressive commercial sales experience, preferably in HVAC or Building Automation.
• Strong presentation and communication skills, with ability to influence decisions.
• Proven track record of building relationships and closing business consistently.

Responsibilities

• Initiate, establish, and grow profitable service relationships with new customers.
• Sell renewable maintenance agreements as the foundation for long-term partnerships.
• Work an assigned geographic territory with local branch sales and operations.
• Use sales tools to plan, document, and track sales progress and opportunities.
• Identify and develop new business by uncovering customer needs and market opportunities.
• Conduct sales calls focused on HVAC service equipment and solutions.
• Prepare, review, and finalize proposals and secure customer commitment.
• Lead kickoff meetings and support issue resolution to extend service agreements.
• Create pull-through opportunities and strengthen account growth.
• Develop territory marketing plans aligned with regional strategy.
• Attend trade shows and represent Johnson Controls professionally.
