Test of Time Plumbing Heating Air & Electrical is seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead our HVAC service department in the Greater Boston area. You will balance staffing, scheduling, and customer needs while coaching technicians to deliver top-quality workmanship and exceptional customer care.

You'll drive performance by setting clear expectations, developing training plans, and coordinating recruiting and onboarding to build a capable, dependable team. Leadership matters here.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of leadership or management experience.
• HVAC knowledge preferred.
• Experience providing sales training and developing team members.
• A history of building productive teams and following through on performance expectations.
• A customer-focused approach to service and problem-solving.
• Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills.
• The ability to provide clear direction, constructive feedback, and ongoing support.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily HVAC service and maintenance operations, balancing staffing, scheduling, and customer needs.
• Coach technicians on service quality, customer communication, and sales performance.
• Set clear expectations, monitor department results, and help the team achieve its goals.
• Evaluate completed work and address opportunities to improve quality and consistency.
• Develop training plans that strengthen technical skills and support employee growth.
• Manage recruiting, hiring, and onboarding to maintain a capable, dependable team.
• Help resolve technical questions, customer concerns, and workflow challenges.
• Reinforce safe work practices and adherence to company policies and service procedures.
• Identify practical ways to improve department efficiency and performance.
