Job summary

MAA is seeking an Apartment Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair apartment homes and property facilities. You will diagnose HVAC issues, service electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tasks, and ensure units are ready for move-in.

We value EPA Type II or EPA Universal certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days), a valid driver’s license, and 1–3 years of related experience, with a commitment to quality and resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in multifamily property maintenance or related fields.
• HVAC experience required.
• EPA Type II or EPA Universal required at hire or within 90 days of start date.
• Valid driver’s license from the state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs to apartments and property facilities.
• Prepare apartments for move-in and diagnose HVAC problems.
• Repair electrical appliances, outlets, light fixtures, plumbing, and carpentry tasks.
• Follow a planned preventive maintenance schedule and update residents after repairs.
