Job summary

MAA is seeking an Apartment Maintenance Technician to keep apartment homes and property facilities in excellent condition. The role covers diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing HVAC systems, electrical fixtures, plumbing, carpentry, and door hardware, while following a preventative maintenance schedule.

A EPA Type II or Universal certification or the willingness to obtain within 90 days is required. Qualified candidates have 1–3 years of multifamily property management or facilities

Qualifications

One to three years of experience in multifamily property management, facility maintenance, and/or mechanical repair.
HVAC experience required.
EPA Type II or EPA Universal required at hire or within 90 days of start date.
Valid driver’s license from the state of residence.

Responsibilities

Perform general maintenance and repair to apartment homes and property facilities.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC units; electrical appliances, outlets, and light fixtures.
Handle plumbing, carpentry, and locks as needed.
Follow a planned preventative maintenance schedule and communicate repairs to residents after completion.
