Job summary

Trane Technologies in the United States is seeking a Rental Account Manager - Indirect to lead development and growth of temporary solutions (rental) business. The role focuses on creating and closing sales opportunities, designing technical solutions, and expanding rental services across markets.

You will develop quotes, coordinate shipments, travel to customer sites, and collaborate with Rental Services teams; HVAC rental experience and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Equivalent combination of education and experience or Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in engineering, engineering technology, business or equivalent from a four-year college or university.
• 3+ years experience in commercial HVAC systems or rental equipment/services experience.
• Candidates without a 4-year degree are encouraged to apply; we prioritize practical experience, relevant skills, and alignment with our leadership principles.
• DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations included, but not limited to: DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Develop and close sales opportunities to grow emergency rentals and enter non-emergency markets (planned, seasonal, events).
• Create accurate technical solutions for customer temporary needs based on existing rental equipment.
• Develop rental quotes from request to proposal for turnkey solutions.
• Collaborate with Rental Services to coordinate vertical market strategies for temporary solutions.
• Coordinate shipments and returns with Rental Services fulfillment team.
• Travel to customer sites; may involve outdoor work, mechanical rooms, variable weather, heights.
