Job summary

RE Michel Company, LLC is a leading HVACR wholesale distributor seeking a Regional Sales Manager to cover the CA/NV region. You will manage outside sales reps, branch accounts, and key customer relationships while promoting the full line of services and products.

You will spend substantial time in the field, coach sales personnel, develop strategic plans, and collaborate with the Regional Branch Manager to meet regional sales, gross profit and net profit targets.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills, generally obtained via high school education.
• Understanding of pricing, gross profit, and P&L concepts.
• Extensive knowledge of HVACR products, parts, equipment and supplies.
• Ability to assist customers and internal sales reps with equipment matchups and job estimate costs.

Responsibilities

• Lead regions outside sales reps and branch accounts to increase sales and profits.
• Recruit, hire and train sales personnel; establish territories, pricing, and sales goals.
• Develop and implement a sales plan with budgeting and forecasts aligned to marketing goals.
• Coach field sales personnel on account analysis, time/territory management, and prospecting.
• Spend 60%+ of the workweek in the field with sales reps and customers.
• Conduct bi-annual reviews with reps and branch managers to drive regional performance.
• Coordinate sales activities with other departments and provide pricing information to pricing Admins.
• Inspire a motivated sales team through leadership and example; address unprofitable territories with progress reports.
• Lead ESP program promotions and coordinate partnerships with Regional Branch Manager.
• Provide weekly activity recap to the executive team via ERP and follow up on quotes.
