Job summary

Walmart in Sebring, FL is seeking an HVAC/R Technician to install, configure, and service commercial refrigeration and HVAC/R systems. You will interpret plans, diagnose issues, and perform preventive maintenance across multiple facilities within the region.

You will lead teams, mentor apprentices, and coordinate with customers while adhering to safety standards. The role requires on-call availability and driving a company vehicle to service calls.

Qualifications

HVAC/R certification and at least 2 years in mechanical maintenance or construction for commercial HVAC/R.
EPA Type I/II or Universal refrigerant certification.
Valid state driver’s license with clean MVR.
Journeyman status where required.
Ability to pass MVR and meet driving requirements.

Responsibilities

Install HVAC/R systems, including ductwork, control panels, and building pneumatics.
Configure and calibrate low ambient systems and direct digital controls to meet specs.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues on commercial HVAC/R systems.
Lead field teams and mentor technicians and apprentices on procedures and safety.
Respond to service calls and coordinate with customers and external providers as needed.
