Job summary

Walmart Inc. is seeking an HVAC/R Technician to oversee installation, commissioning, and maintenance of refrigeration systems in multiple store facilities.

You will lead diagnostics, mentor junior technicians, and coordinate preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards. The role includes on-call responsibilities, hands-on training delivery, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to improve processes and asset

Qualifications

• 3 years’ HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration experience or 6 years’ experience with AAS in HVAC/R.
• EPA Type I/II or Universal certification for refrigerant handling.
• HVAC/Mechanical Journeyman where required.
• Valid driver’s license and clean MVR with Walmart driving history requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversees installation and commissioning of HVAC/R systems and ductwork.
• Leads diagnostics and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues.
• Implements preventive maintenance programs to extend equipment life.
• Manages refrigeration units, walk-ins, and supermarket rack systems.
• Mentors Technicians and manages escalated service issues.
• Participates in on-call rotation to support after-hours needs.
