Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Technician in Facility Services (HVAC/Refrigeration) to install, maintain, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems in commercial facilities. The role requires diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

You will lead field teams, manage service calls, and document records using digital tools.

Qualifications

• HVAC/R certification plus 2 years of mechanical maintenance or construction-related experience.
• 4 years of mechanical maintenance experience with EPA refrigerant handling certification (Type I/II or Universal).
• Valid state driver’s license; clean driving record.
• HVAC-R/Mechanical Journeyman where required.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and calibrate HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues in commercial/industrial settings.
• Perform preventive maintenance to maximize equipment longevity and minimize downtime.
• Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with HVAC/R regulations and refrigerant handling.
• Lead and mentor field teams, promoting safety and technical proficiency.
• Manage service calls and coordinate with external providers; maintain records.
