Job summary

Walmart Inc. seeks an experienced Technician, Facility Services, HVAC-Refrigeration to install, maintain, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems in commercial and industrial settings. You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure regulatory compliance across multiple locations.

You will lead field teams, coordinate with management, and support operations regionally while adhering to safety standards and delivering reliable service to customers and facilities.

Qualifications

• Option 1: Vocational or technical HVAC/R certification and 2 years' experience in mechanical maintenance or construction3related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls.
• Option 2: 4 years' experience in mechanical maintenance or construction3related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls or related field.
• Hold and maintains Type I and Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
• Where required, HVAC-R/ Mechanical Journeyman.
• Valid state-issued driverads license and ability to pass motor vehicle report.
• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.
• Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
• No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
• No serious traffic violations, as defined by the FMCSRs, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.]

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and calibrate HVAC and refrigeration systems, including ductwork and control panels, ensuring compliance with building codes and operational standards.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues in commercial and industrial equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on refrigeration units, walk-ins, and HVAC systems to optimize performance and minimize downtime.
• Adhere to OSHA and EPA 608 refrigerant handling protocols during all service activities.
• Lead and mentor field teams, providing technical guidance and promoting safety practices.
• Manage service calls, coordinate with external providers, and maintain accurate documentation and inventory.
• Operate company vehicles safely to complete service assignments within assigned regions.
