Job summary

Walmart seeks an HVAC/R technician to install and service HVAC and refrigeration systems across facilities in the San Antonio area. You will work with ductwork, control panels, and building controls, ensuring accurate setup per plans and codes.

You will diagnose electrical, refrigeration, and mechanical issues and implement preventive maintenance to minimize downtime. The role includes on-call support, driving a company vehicle, and coordinating with teams and external service providers.

Qualifications

• HVAC/R certification plus 2 years’ mechanical maintenance or building controls experience (commercial HVAC/R).
• Or 4 years’ mechanical maintenance or building controls experience in related field.
• Hold EPA Type I/II or Universal refrigerant handling certification where required.

Responsibilities

• Install HVAC and refrigeration systems including ductwork and control panels.
• Configure and calibrate low ambient systems and direct digital controls.
• Interpret plans and schematics to ensure proper system setup and code compliance.
