Job summary

Walmart Bastrop seeks an experienced HVAC/R technician to oversee installation and commissioning of systems, including ductwork and control panels. You will diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues across commercial refrigeration and store equipment, while ensuring OSHA and EPA compliance.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, inventory and vendor management, and leading field teams.

Qualifications

3 years' HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration experience.
6 years' HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration experience and an AAS in HVAC/R.
Hold and maintain EPA Type I and Type II or Universal certification for refrigerant handling.
HVAC‑R/ Mechanical Journeyman where required.
1 year's experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling, or Walmart store experience.
Valid state-issued driver's license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.

Responsibilities

Oversee installation and commissioning of HVAC/R systems, including ductwork and control panels.
Lead diagnostics and troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues.
Manage preventive maintenance programs to extend equipment life and reduce downtime.
Coordinate service calls and manage regional workloads to meet priorities and timelines.
Mentor technicians and handle on-call escalation and issue resolution.
