Job summary

Walmart in San Antonio, TX seeks an experienced HVAC/R Technician to install, service and troubleshoot commercial refrigeration and building control systems across multiple facilities.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, safety compliance, mentoring apprentices, and coordinating with managers; on-call rotation and driving a company vehicle are part of the role. EPA 608 certification is required.

Qualifications

• HVAC/R certification and 2 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or related field.
• EPA refrigerant handling certification (Type I/II or Universal).
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass MVR checks.
• Commercial driving record with restrictions aligned to job requirements.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair commercial HVAC/R systems and building controls.
• Lead field teams and mentor apprentices on procedures and safety.
• Coordinate service calls and track parts, refrigerant, and vendor relations.
• Perform preventive maintenance and ensure OSHA and EPA compliance.
