Job summary

Walmart in Spring, TX seeks an HVAC/R technician to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot systems, and support energy management upgrades. Under supervision, you will handle paperwork, wear PPE, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

You will collaborate with management, coworkers, and store partners to address priorities, schedule major repairs, and control costs while maintaining facility operations across sites. The role offers growth within Walmart facilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include EPA 608 refrigerant handling certification.
• EPA 608 within 90 days of hire.
• Valid state driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Experience in mechanical maintenance or construction for HVAC/R/building controls.
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Complete required paperwork and submit forms to leadership.
• Develop scopes of work for HVAC/R upgrades and energy systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC/R equipment.
• Troubleshoot HVAC/R issues and coordinate major repairs.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and Walmart policies.
• Collaborate with management, coworkers, customers, and partners.
• Coordinate vehicle maintenance and manage related invoices.
• Submit warranty claims and monitor progress of service tasks.
