Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Senior Technician, Facility Services, HVAC/Refrigeration in Waxahachie, TX. You will lead installation, commissioning, and maintenance of complex HVAC/R systems across commercial settings, mentoring teams and ensuring safety and environmental compliance.

You will drive preventive maintenance to optimize performance, manage refrigerant handling per OSHA/EPA, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and support critical business operations.

Qualifications

3 years’ HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration experience.
6 years’ HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration experience with AAS degree.
EPA Type I/II or Universal certification for refrigerant handling.
HVAC-R/Mechanical Journeyman where required.
1 year plumbing/electrical/material handling or 2 years Walmart store experience.
Valid state driver’s license with clean MVR.
No major driving violations in last 3 years.

Responsibilities

Oversee installation, commissioning, and maintenance of HVAC/R systems.
Lead diagnostics and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues.
Implement and monitor preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime.
Manage refrigerant handling per OSHA, EPA, and HVAC/R codes.
Coordinate and mentor field teams, providing hands-on training.
Track parts inventory and manage vendor relationships.
Participate in on-call rotation to support critical needs.
