Job summary

Hussmann is seeking a skilled Technician to perform maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of refrigeration, HVAC, and related systems in supermarkets and cold storage facilities, with guidance from a Master or Lead Technician. The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, EPA 608 certification, a valid driver's license, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work nights or weekends.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required; HVAC-R technical training preferred.
EPA 608 universal certification required; state certification where applicable.
5 years field experience or 3 years with technical school certification for external candidates; internal candidates 1 year as a Qualified Technician.

Responsibilities

Perform prescribed, routine maintenance on supermarket refrigeration systems and self-contained merchandisers.
Diagnose and repair refrigeration, heating and air conditioning systems with guidance from a Master/Lead Technician.
Repair leaks, replace components, and ensure proper system operation and safety.
Complete work tickets and time sheets accurately and timely.
Maintain vehicle inventory and adhere to fleet guidelines.
