Job summary

Harris is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support HVAC construction projects from planning through closeout, ensuring scope, budget, deadlines and communications are maintained. You will handle document control, RFIs, submittals, field coordination meetings, and safety program administration, working with the project team, subcontractors, fab shop and vendors.

A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, construction or related field and 2+ years of construction industry experience are

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of knowledge/experience in the building and construction industry.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and ability to read construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Provide project management support during all phases of HVAC construction to ensure project standards, budget, deadlines and communications.
• Document control: review, organize and distribute contract documents, RFIs, submittals and drawings; log activities.
• Attend field coordination meetings and assist in safety compliance and quality control administration.
• Assist in drafting, submitting and tracking RFIs; help with project closeout documentation and turnover.
• Support procurement, tool/equipment rental tracking and basic estimating tasks.
