Job summary

Harris is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support HVAC construction projects across phases, ensuring standards, budget, deadlines and communications are maintained. You will assist in document control, RFIs, field meetings, and progress drawings, while fostering safety culture.

You'll work with project teams to track labor, costs and subcontractor coordination, reading construction docs and applying design tools. A relevant bachelor's degree and 2+ years' experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction, or related field.
• Minimum 2+ years in building and construction industry.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and building services.
• Ability to read and comprehend construction documents.
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools and principles.
• Understanding of business administration and management concepts.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Review, organize, and distribute contract documents and shop drawings.
• Assist in drafting, submitting and tracking RFIs and responses.
• Attend field coordination meetings and distribute notes.
• Support quality control program and compile documentation.
• Administer/update progress and as-built drawings.
• Assist in project closeout documentation and punch lists.
• Identify, track, and report changes to original scope of work.
• Assist in management and tracking of tool and equipment rentals.
• Perform site walkthroughs and assist in site safety compliance.
• Track labor productivity in accounting software with project manager.
