Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a Product Design Engineer to join a high-performing team shaping Commercial Unitary WSHP products. You will design and lead HVAC systems, collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, and marketing, and guide projects from concept to production while solving complex technical challenges.

The role emphasizes leadership, design rigor, and applying regulatory requirements to deliver sustainable, cost-effective solutions with opportunities to develop leadership skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline.
• 3-5 years leading product design projects and validation testing.
• Deliver technical designs to meet requirements and deadlines.
• Familiar with HVAC systems including refrigeration, airflow, and heat transfer.

Responsibilities

• Develop HVAC refrigeration and airflow systems to meet performance, regulatory, quality, and cost requirements.
• Review technical feasibility of product and internal requirements.
• Design and select robust components and develop engineering specs.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory codes such as UL.
• Complete system integration tasks and design reviews.
• Develop lab test plans and analyze data for performance and quality.
