Job summary

Harris seeks a Project Manager I to support HVAC construction projects, ensuring standards, budget, deadlines and communications are maintained on site.

The role emphasizes safety compliance, document control, RFIs, and closeout tasks across project phases. You will coordinate with the project team, subcontractors and vendors, review drawings, and help manage costs and schedules with strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field.
• 3+ years of knowledge/experience in the building & construction industry.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and comprehend construction documents.
• Proficient understanding of business administration and management principles.
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools and principles.
• 5+ years of Microsoft Office experience.
• Proficient knowledge of Estimating Software used in projects.
• Solid grasp of Harris' accounting/project & labor management software.
• Experience with computer aided design software.

Responsibilities

• Provide project management support during all phases of HVAC construction.
• Manage safety compliance and foster a culture of safety on site.
• Review, process, organize, log and distribute contract documents and drawings.
• Draft, submit and track RFIs and responses; attend field coordination meetings.
• Administer project quality control, progress drawings and closeout documentation.
• Identify, price and negotiate change orders; support schedule development and updates.
• Coordinate with suppliers, vendors and subcontractors on cost estimates and procurement.
• Track labor productivity, project financials and ensure timely billings.
