Job summary

Harris seeks a Project Manager I to support HVAC construction projects, ensuring adherence to standards, budget, deadlines and clear communications across the team. You will manage document control, RFIs, schedules and field coordination in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include safety oversight, procurement coordination, cost tracking, and close collaboration with subcontractors and vendors to maintain project performance and quality from start to finish.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Construction Management, Construction Management Technology, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent engineering degree.
• 3+ years of knowledge/experience of the building & construction industry.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and comprehend construction documents.
• Proficient understanding of business administration and management principles.
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools and principles.
• 5+ years of Microsoft Office experience.
• Proficient knowledge of techniques, tools and principles used in Estimating Software.
• Solid grasp of Harris’ accounting/project & labor management software.
• Experienced in computer aided design software.

Responsibilities

• Provide project management support during all phases of HVAC construction to ensure project standards, budget, deadlines and communications are maintained.
• Perform site walkthroughs and inspections and ensure safety compliance.
• Review, process, organize, log and distribute contract documents and shop drawings/submittals to team members.
• Draft, submit and track RFIs and their responses; attend field coordination meetings and distribute notes.
• Administer project quality control programs and compile documentation.
• Administer/update progress drawings and as-built drawings.
• Manage scope of work, identify, price and negotiate change orders.
• Provide scheduling support and develop weekly work plans; coordinate with manpower.
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to estimate projects and prepare proposals.
• Track labor productivity and project financials; manage communications on changes and cash flow.
