Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Mechanical Project Team Leader II to drive the execution of mechanical retrofit projects from kickoff to closeout. You will coordinate mechanics and subcontractors, manage financial performance, and secure change orders while serving as a technical resource for Sales.

Requires six+ years of technical experience in retrofit projects, strong communication skills, and proficiency with project management and financial systems.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in service/retrofit projects or equivalent.
• Experience leading Mechanics on multiple projects valued around $3–4M.
• Strong communication, written and verbal, with non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and control mechanical retrofit projects per Johnson Controls standards.
• Coordinate Mechanics and subcontractors to match scope, schedule, and customer expectations.
• Secure change orders and new work from existing customers; support pre-bid activities with Sales.
• Provide cost estimates, project development support, and technical resources for Sales.
• Staff project teams and manage manpower with Truck Based teams.
• Review contracts, drawings, and layouts to ensure proper installation.
• Analyze financial reporting and project schedules to identify risk and recovery plans.
