Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks a Service Mechanical Team Project Manager Lead to drive retrofit projects from planning to execution, ensuring adherence to standard practices and safety programs. You will secure new work, develop estimates, and provide technical guidance to Sales while coordinating cross-functional teams.

The role emphasizes staffing, risk management, cost tracking and effective communication of progress to management, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Six or more years of technical and operational knowledge of service retrofit projects.
• Ability to lead mechanics across multiple projects up to $2M in revenue.
• Engineering or trade school training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans, executes and manages assigned mechanical projects.
• Oversees retrofit processes per Johnson Controls standards.
• Estimates mechanical work and presents proposals to customers.
• Recruits, hires and supervises project staff and manages staffing levels.
• Interfaces with sales and supports pre-bid reviews.
• Manages project schedules, cost allocation and financial reporting.
