Job summary

Trane Technologies seeks a Product Support Engineer to join the Airside team, supporting sales channels with technical knowledge of HVAC products. The role involves advising account managers, applying product understanding to customer needs, and collaborating on system design and pricing questions.

The position requires a bachelor's in engineering or related field and 1–2 years in manufacturing or industrial settings, with travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field.
• 1–2 years of experience in industrial or manufacturing sector.
• Leadership and assertiveness to effectively interact with the field.
• Effective and clear decision-maker in time sensitive situations.
• Strong organization skills and ability to handle a variety of tasks.
• Knowledge of HVAC or similar products is beneficial; product training provided.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Actively engage and serve as a trusted partner with Trane account managers and Airside Product Growth Team (PGT).
• Serve as a subject matter expert through technical and application knowledge of Airside products.
• Collaborate with internal or external customers in the areas of technical Airside equipment understanding and systems application, BOM review, and pricing questions.
• Support testing and improvement of our equipment selection system, Trane Select Assist.
• Engage in customer visit processes at Columbia facility with host duties for assigned visits.
• Partner with senior team members to deliver sales channel training and support Airside portfolio strategies.
