Southern Air Heating Cooling & Plumbing in Lafayette, LA is hiring an HVAC Installer trainee to join our family-owned team. You will work side-by-side with skilled installers, receive hands-on training in residential and light commercial HVAC installation, and support with parts, tools, and installation at job sites.

Ideal candidates are hard-working, eager to learn, mechanically inclined, and customer-focused; no prior trade required, but HVAC experience helps.

Qualifications

• Experience with HVAC systems is preferred.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Strong customer-service orientation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with residential and light commercial HVAC installation.
• Support with parts, tools, delivery, and on-site installation.
• Operate hand and power tools while following safety standards.
• Learn from senior installers and develop technical skills.

What you will do:

• Work side-by-side the BEST installers in the industry!
• Receive hands-on-training in residential and light commercial HVAC installation
• Assist with parts, tools, delivery, installation at job site
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools, requiring dexterity and the ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Assist to install HVAC equipment according to safety requirements, company standards, and manufacturer specifications
