Job summary

Hedrick Associates, Inc. in Grand Rapids, MI, seeks an HVAC Inside Sales and Support Associate to join the HVAC Department alongside Outside Sales.

You will make equipment selections, prepare proposals, offer technical support, and manage project details from the first quote through completion. You will support hydronic and environmental equipment, coordinate startups with field technicians, and help contractors, engineers, and end users with selection and design, while maintaining strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• 3–5 years of experience with mechanical HVAC systems.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and content management systems.
• Ability to run manufacturer equipment selection programs.
• Strong customer service skills and good judgment about escalation.
• Accurate work and strong organization with multiple projects.
• Comfort with sales conversations and presenting solutions.
• Occasional site visits and customer events.

Responsibilities

• Make equipment selections, prepare proposals, offer technical support, and manage project details from the first quote through project completion.
• Support a wide range of hydronic and environmental equipment and services.
• Quote parts and labor for cooling tower repairs and coordinate work.
• Place orders with manufacturers and suppliers and keep project data up to date.
• Coordinate and schedule equipment startups with field technicians and customers.
• Enter startup, warranty, and back-charge paperwork into software.
• Work with factory technical support to resolve issues.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and vendors.
• Provide training to contractors and end users as needed; attend events.
